Leeds Road is one of Bradford’s most distinctive and culturally significant corridors. That’s what makes Leeds Road in Bradford so special, and exactly why we created Love Leeds Road.
Our brand-new campaign is here to shine a light on the creativity, diversity and spirit of this iconic street. From family-run curry houses and independent jewellers to fabric shops, fashion boutiques and outlandish desserts, Leeds Road is a corridor packed with character, possibility and pride. The aim of this campaign is to share that story more widely, celebrate the people behind the businesses and encourage more visitors to discover what the area has to offer.
Not only is Leeds Road an important gateway to our city but it is a cultural crossroads, a place built by entrepreneurs, families and communities. Yet its significance and value to Bradford has often been underplayed. Love Leeds Road seeks to address this by promoting the area’s unique identity and supporting the businesses that give it life. We want to highlight the pride and entrepreneurial spirit that defines BD3, encouraging more people to visit Leeds Road and experience everything it has to offer.
Our launch video marks the beginning of this work. It captures the heart of Leeds Road: the colours, the smells, the people and the places. In it you will meet real business owners, workers and local faces, all proud of what they do and where they belong. The film is the first in a growing series that will showcase the voices, stories and everyday moments that define Leeds Road.
Alongside the video, we have launched this website and a comprehensive business directory featuring every known business along the corridor. This platform will grow over time with new features, stories and video content, providing a central hub for information and insight about Leeds Road. It will also support initiatives such as business profiles, behind-the-scenes features and blogs highlighting different parts of the corridor.
The campaign has been shaped by extensive pre-launch engagement with local businesses and community partners. Their insights have guided the branding, messaging and direction of the project, ensuring that Love Leeds Road reflects the area authentically and respectfully. This collaborative approach will continue throughout the campaign as we work closely with the community to build momentum and increase visibility.
The months ahead will see the release of further videos, photography and written stories, as well as new digital content linked to seasonal moments and cultural events. We hope this work will encourage more people to explore Leeds Road, support its businesses and share in the pride that so many local people feel for the area.
